I believe...

The customer still pays ANDI for the app through itunes, paypal, whatever.

then through app-redeem, they can get a rebate for the purchase of the app. app-redeem i assume gets revenue (makes its money) from the ad companies for basically consolidating people to buy the apps that have ads on them.
