I am thinking that if a plastic sleeve could be added to the center of the filter then you would have a direct airway to the heating element. It seems that the soft filter being quite porous allows too much of the users air draw to be dissipated through the exterior of the filter.

If some sort of heat resistant, yet pliant, sleeve could be inserted through the center of the filter, yet still encompassing the nanobeads, then the air draw would be directed right to and from the heating element. JMO of course

Looks like I have a project that may involve some plastic tubing this weekend. I was happy with it as is but now you guys got me doing it LOL.
