"The oil companies are the same way. When crude goes up, you see it at the pump within hours. When it goes down, they give this lame excuse about how they have gas in the system that was refined from the more expensive crude, and say the price will go down when it is used up."

Amen to that. I know this industry up close and personal. If these guys were allowed to operate in an unbridled free market economy without regulation, we'd be paying a lot more at the pump. Hell Fiats and Mopeds would be considered luxuries and many of our wildlife refuges would look like the Labrea Tar Pits.
