Patent 7961815 issued to Wilan on 6/14/2011.Hello Smartphones!


Although patent USPTO #7961815 was "assigned" to Wilan on 09/12/2007, the status has been "pending" and without a patent number until just day before yesterday...06/14/2011, the official "issue" date.

This is a "very important" patent, and has been very much worth the 2 year wait.

Wilan "may" be able to license #7961815 without having to resort to litigation.
Nearly every single smartphone sold going forward will be infinging on this patent.

Upon monetization,#796185 should increase Wilan's revenues "substantially"..
We can all recall Jim Skippen speaking about Wilan's future revenues being "many" hundreds of millions of dollars. The word "many" is not the same as "several" (as in 2-3)
This patent, finally issued on 6/14/2011 could be the reason for his choice of words.
Folks, this is huge!
