Yup, there are some slight differences with aftermarket inks, but I set printer for the highest quality paper, and it appears to put deeper colors on.
Many cartridges can be half-price in the after-market outlets.
I'd used several different suppliers, good results from all.
Some were recycled, some new "will-fit's".
The canon BCI-M (Magenta) as an example, can be purchased reloaded for 3 bucks, new used to cost 11 bucks.
...For every 3 cartridges of color, you'll use 5 of the black-ink. (usually, I've found)
