i found this on the jfsag board and thougth you would like reading it. it seems the europeans do not like haarp.

i don't know a lot about haarp. i don't know why they would build such a facility in alaska unless it is to keep it secret. there is a very large antenna in the northeastern us that can monitor traffic all across the east coast. there was a proposal to build another in the southern us to monitor the borders there also. the antenna in the northeast was in active use, but i do not know if it still is. i believe it's broadcast ability was very limited.

anyway, haarp was supposedly built because both the russians and the chinese have built similiar stations. weather experiments? weaponry? i really don't know. hope not.
