From my understanding, it's part of the culture of coffee shops in the Northwest. The girls move from shoppe to shoppe and are used to behaving this way (theft). I think it may have become an issue with the store when the girls expected paid on top of their dipping into the register. It is, however, not going to happen anymore at Baristas - I have been assured.
