HI everyone... we had 5 days off as they re-vamped "ON Q LIVE" so I just skidaddled around and took care of some buis. They took away my shack and now I stand in front of this sort of bar-looking set and do what I do...
I have no idea why the Shack bothered everyone... We all fought against it back in the beginning. No one wanted anything to do with it but my boss was adamant and we (my crew and I) spent 5 months getting it to be what I thought was the most consistent part of the show. (My boss was right.. it was a great unique concept)
Suddenly, it's "lets do something else". Whatever... I'll never understand most people so why am I surprised.
I did meet a great guy over the weekend but I think he's one of those I call "long term lease". Very charming, brilliant and an absolute joy to be with (I had the best weekend I've had since moving here) but he's been single a long time and it's not likely he's going to "deal me in" to anything more than a glass of wine and some pleasant times. The lease is signed, the rent is paid, it's nicely furnished and the amount of time he spends in the bldg doesn't really concern him..
I hate that.
I'm disappointed but I realize it's not my call to make. life sucks that way some times...
