Olddog, NOK's Delaware INVALIDITY claims are also interesting...

in that they rely ONLY on narrowband CDMA prior art.

Patent No. Claimed Prior Art or Obviousness

5,574,747 Viterbi & Viterbi “Performance of…”
(Andy Viterbi co-founded Qualcomm)

6,181,949 Viterbi & Viterbi “Erlang capacity…”
(Andy Viterbi co-founded Qualcomm)

6,215,778 “the IS-95a standard”

5,179,572 “invalid as anticipated or obvious”
(Note: Non-infringement discussion
states “Therefore, Nokia's CDMA 2000
handsets do not infringe” with no
specific mention of WCDMA handsets)

6,075,792 IS-95 Enhancements for Multi-
Media Services

5,799,010 IS-95a standard

I still think the NOK Delaware lawsuit is really only about CDMA 2000 and the WCDMA references are just smoke, at least for the 18 patents listed in the complaint.
