The good news from the fed can be found at Yahoo Finance: finance.yahoo.com/ They said that the Fed had met and that Chairman Bernanke was not going to let the economic recovery fail and would take further action in November. He also said that the agency will review foreclosure procedures at the nation's largest mortgage servicers which will be completed next month.

That should inject a good flow of expansion and spending, which should create jobs and reduce unemployment. But nothing is for sure until it happens.
