It would appear that Hedgies/MMs with large short positions are in a pickle.... 8 more days to divi.... what will it be? cash or stock? I have my thoughts....
...... tick tock tick tock tick tock the MMs are on the clock...... As someone mentioned before, you need to give yourself 3-4 days for your funds to settle in order to obtain the divi. If you plan on buying next Thursday to get the divi - you may be out of luck. I wouldn't wait past Monday to be safe.
