I remember “Shake rattle and Roll” too. My favourite part was about “A one eyed cat peeking in a seafood store.” I can’t even think of the title without mentally adding the few notes following the words.

You mentioned your brother learning a few bad words. I wrote #reply-15407863 about the F-word. It was the second post of a series of four: #reply-15405579 #reply-15407863 #reply-15417549 and #reply-15418851 At the time, my posts were pieces of a larger story and sometimes referred to material covered in previous submissions. After linking ten posts together, I decided that this was going too far and I abandoned this approach.

Often something someone writes triggers a memory that I wish to share. On really lucky days, it’s a memory I’ve already written about, so instead of typing a page or two, I need only cut-and-paste or copy a link. But when I write something for the first time, I get to add it to my binder and later share it with my husband. Now that we’re enjoying cooler weather, we can sit in front of the fireplace, put our feet on the coffee table and read stories. They all end the same way: we resurrect all manner of memories and share some laughter and nostalgia. (And that’s where I get my ideas for part 2, part 3. . .)

Cheers, PW.
