There's a bunch of public companies affected, which are filing the same quotation as to what Zag is referring to.. towit, FINRA has suspended, for 90-120 days beginning June 1, 2010, the grant of any new trading symbols to companies for corporate name changes while new rules established by FINRA to process symbol change requests are finalized and implemented.

I've also found a few companies stating in the last few weeks about communications with Finra recently, stating timeline periods (according to the individual company and date) that would mean September. This leads my to believe the 90-120 day period will end Oct 1st on the outside. Forms, programs and platforms should be updated by then, without any new notices to the market.

No knowledge on any changes in trading delays for symbols under the "new", such as sometimes happens when the DTCC must work with the company and broker/dealers to get the info updated to ones account.
