First time I ever heard that reducing the short position accelerates a squeeze.
Actually, short is short. The best situation to have IF there were a large naked short position WOULD be real shorts covering along side.
Of course if there were no large short position, you wouldn't want to make it easy for people to short at this relatively high valuation and make money when the price collapsed.
