A lot of this is old news already. We know that BP initially used whatever they could get their hands on for the spill and that MOP was caught off guard with the cannon ban and had to resort to the boom as well as pad uses.
But, that doesn't mean that MOP is out of the picture with MOP being a superior product and new contracts with the funding to go with it.
The pads may just be the biggest money maker for them in the future for cleaning up the marshes, along with boom the kits for quick response to spills.
