Move the sole asset to another shell and start over...NMGL.

Lets just assume the whole operation is a scam!
( I dont have the means to call this operation yet a scam )

Then the Operation is: Scammers scamming the Scammers!

Explanation below:

Year after year, MMs have been shorting FFGO to death. So they used panthom shares to further dilute the stock. Those shares are bsically Faked so those MMs were scammers.

Now NMGL buys the Gold assets with preferred shares which are basically worthless, just paper with a nominal number on it and they can be redeemed only at NMGL's directory discretation ( assuming the operation is a scam ).

Now, the scammer MMs will have to cover as soon as possible in order not to assume the value of those worthless papers from the other scammers. Now if the scammers ( NMGL+ the others) reduce further the floating shares available then MMs will be in big trouble. Short squeeze to the Max!!.
