DevG you are absolutely correct. It takes 3 days for funds to clear and you can withdraw the next day. This is the first time I have not had my deposit available immediately for trade. Last week I transferred $2000 from my savings and bought stock immediately. This time I transferred in $5000 and I have a whopping $0.89 available. Something has changed.
