NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, cancels out numbers. This is a numbers game. No serious investor buys on news alone. PPS, EPS, SMAs, etc are always in play. Doubling the OS effectively cuts all those numbers in half. They're going to have to buy back a serious number before they can reach that number again in the short term.
HOWEVER, in the long term (a year or two) this could all be academic. If their product is good and well marketed, they could get big enough to have an EPS/PPS/etc. to support the OS.
