I just spoke with Newby briefly. You can certainly sense his frustration, but I thanked him for taking my call (3rd time I have spoken with them). My question was simply how confident he was at this juncture about getting the funding done and I also asked him to be free to explain whatever else he felt should be explained.

He said "confident" was the wrong word. They needed the upfront cash, DB was aware of this and he needed to deliver on it. The company (or, ahem--the shareholders as I suspect) needs to cough up $1.775 million more in cash (as was pr'd). Newby seemed frustrated and my sense is he is putting the onus/blame on DB for Newby to be able to secure the loan.

That's what I got out of it. Obviously, it could all be smoke and mirrors. GLTA!
