Yes, 6.8SPC is probably the ammo that is fastest growing in popularity. Seems everywhere I look now there are popular rifles being chambered in 6.8. Ruger also has a mini 6.8, similar to their mini-14 (.223) and mini-39 (7.62x39). I've seen plenty of ARs in 6.8. To me it seems the 6.8 general consensus is that the ammo is overpriced from low popularity.
I think in the end it comes down to what you want your ammo to do. Bare min to reach out and touch a target, or serious knock down power. With so many brand choices and the ammo's availability, if you want knockdown power .308 is the way to go.
Just curious, does anybody know if military is using 6.8?
