Interesting, looks like this could turn out to be one of those events that, in the long run, is beneficial for the company but is viewed negatively by share-holders.

Although I must say, my limited understanding towards business, and my attitude in general is one of "a sale is a sale" regardless of what hoops you must jump through or hit-to-profit that is incurred. Although I understand Eric's reluctancy to down-sell the product (this has been his position from the start) I also wonder about the probability of such a price change "leaking out" to other buyers.

Although I assume it's entirely possible in the technological age we live in, with instant communication where nothing is sacred and disclosure agreements mean nothing.
