Check out the structure for FMCN and other industry peers. There is nothing CCME can do about it, its the only option for them at this point in time.
With that said, STARR got CCME to change the wording on the contractual agreements to make them iron-clad. I suggest you take a look at the actual contractual-agreements (or get a lawyer to do so), it is very solid.
It would be insanely catastrophic for China's government if they did something to demolish these contractual-agreements. They are going in the 'integration with the world' direction very strongly (and have been for years), not in the 'We are alone' route. This will continue, I have zero doubt (They need the natural resources around the world, which is why they are going hard-core after trade agreements/etc).
