I have never done a after hour trade and what I have read you should stay away from them, because of them being manipulated. I did a search on T trades or AH trades and it said that individuals can switch shares or market makers can trade shares to each other, so maybe a short got into trouble and was helped out, it also said that shares are passed to MM to MM after hours so it does not disrupt the normal trading day, otherwise why even have AH trades, just lengthen the trading day.
