On Friday, June 26, 2009, MetroPacific Bank, Irvine CA was closed by the California Department of Financial Institutions. Subsequently, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation was named Receiver. All non-brokered deposit accounts of the Bank have been transferred to Sunwest Bank, Tustin, CA. Sunwest Bank is a small and middle market business bank in Southern California. Its aim is to provide entrepreneurs with a banking experience akin to one found in a private banking environment
