Orph Xyrem scripts--Here are the figures this year, from Orphan's web site:

1st quarter: 5087
2nd quarter: 6387 (+25.5% Q over Q)
3rd quarter: 8171 (+27.9% Q over Q)

"six weeks to November 15": 4374.

Orphan themselves are confusing the issue by being unclear exactly what the time periods are. For example, in the first quarter they gave two six week periods of 2349 and 2738. Notice that these add to the 5087, which presumably was for 13 weeks.

To me the bottom line is that it isn't clear if the 4374 was six weeks, seven weeks, or Oct. 1-Nov.15 (i.e. 6 4/7 weeks). Even if it is a six week figure, multiplying by 13/6 gives a projection of 9477 for Q4, which would be 16.0% Q over Q. I think this is the most likely.

Will try to contact the company for clarification.
