Etherloop contends again
50+% faster in the lab up to 8,000 feet
Elastic Networks always had a great product, as Bob Metcalfe in Infoworld made clear years ago. Now part of Paradyne, the latest Etherloop2 is delivering in the lab 80 meg at 2,000 feet, far beyond VDSL or ADSL+ under similar conditions. They also are targeting over a meg at 15,000 feet. CEO Sean Belanger wants to make it a standard, looking to recruit companies to develop chips and systems. Infineon has found a market for 10 meg over short distance building wires.
