Yes I believe it will bee more rigid but not because of the plastic. From my understanding they will have ridges to add turbulance. This tubing is patent pending I think.

With the type of fasteners used to hold the tubing to the
U-shape tubing (hose clamps) the material must be felxible. I would guess it is UV stablized PVC It is like vinyl hose used in an aquarium.

The The clear tubing that the other company is using looks like acylic it is breakable scratchable and very expencive. It would have to be molded or machined to seal with O-rings.

I thought it said polyethylene on that website but I think it was for the U shape. Polyethylene is not the clearest material and also heavy and fairly expencive since it is used in a lot of consumer goods like milk bottles. It also doesnt take the weather very well
