Christians claim that having a personal relationship with christ is what they strive for and if that truly is a christians desire then I would think they would want to find out ALL there is to know about him. The bible is 1 small sample of his life.

One small sample? I don't understand how anyone can say the Bible is one small sample of who Jesus is? There are countless posts up here with perspective after perspective written using scripture showing who Jesus is. One could spend a lifetime reading the Bible and still learning about Jesus at the end.

Yet the christian church does not recognize them even though these writings have just as much validity as the gospels in the bible.

Just as much validity? The bible has prophecy after prophecy of who Jesus is that most certainly validates the truth of the Bible.

I'm not saying the bible is not true, but what i contend is that, for a christian, it lacks ALL the information for one to get to know the man jesus.

Lack of information?
Everything one needs to know like I stated in my other post to you the basics and a life time of tearing the Bible a part verse by verse you'd still be learning when you go home to meet the Lord.
