It's pretty cut and dry. I believe we've had discussions on this before. If I'm not mistaken I believe it was a $100,000 upfront and then a Royality fee of 7-10% of the gross sales. The Royality fee's paid would be deducted from the $100,000 already paid.

The $100,000 is to secure the License for each year.

So MLB would get $100,000 a year whether a product was sold or not.
