I too am interested in what kitesurf (surfsup) has to say as well. He is one of the longest board members of Wavx and has very excellent insights, especially when they fall into the domain of his personal specialties. There are many others like this but I have enjoyed and considered surfsup's commentary for years and years. Though I disagree until recently with Weby, I remain interested in him and his thoughts as well...
IMO, it is more than time for the "talk" to turn into performance. I have watched the dilution and the reduction in my own holdings erode steadily over these past 11-12 years and been promised everything except the moon by our CEO.
Results and financial stability are still lagging way behind, though Dell has certainly single-handedly raised the company's revenues.
Other than Dell, what other revenue source has contributed to a multi-million dollar quarterly revenue stream that is continually growing? We have been told about many over the past few years and none have ever come to fruition, though they did elicit jubilation to the masses, and I was a participant in that as well.
But the question remains, NAME ONE corporation other than Dell that increases Wave's revenues or even ONE PRODUCT other than what Dell is paying us for, that is causing this revenue stream in this company to expand quarter over quarter.
Therein lies the problem. So far Wave has been BIG on talk and short on deliveries. I am unsure exactly where to lay the blame on these OBVIOUS factual statements regarding the performance of Wave Systems to date, but as a LONG TIME LONG and shareholder, after almost a dozen years of unfulfilled promises and still waiting, I believe that we are due some explanations other than "it's the market".
Execution is everything and is what CEO's get paid to do. Period and end of story. As Truman said, "The buck stops here."
THIS year, 2009, MUST be the year for RESULTS WAY ABOVE expenses to incur and for diversity of those revenue streams. There has been plenty of time now and the years of making up one reason or another as to why this has not yet happened is beyond the pale.
I along with everyone else I am sure, would love to see my BASE investment restored at a minimum and a PROFIT, even a meager one, turned. The time has come, and again, I would like to say that I believe a critical thinker like Gokitesurf's voice ADDS to the overall discussion of Wave systems, even as Internet, Fullmoon, CSL, Wildman, Barge, CM, AWK, Weby, et al.
