How many well-trained, well-armed jihadist islamic fundamentalists did the Afghan war against the Soviets create? 5,000? 10,000? 20,000?

Bush's misadventure in Iraq (which is a colossal strategic mistake of historic proportions) will create ten for every one that were created by the Soviet's invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.
