wOod and junkmasterg, you are certainly right youngster. It appears Howard & Rush both came on board the Snapple train at the same time. Howard later came back in about 1996 and has apparently stayed. I would disagree with you junkmasterg that Howard's audiance was larger than Rush. I ran across the following excerpt from a history on Quaker Oats, who bought Snapple in 1994, and I'm not computer wise enough to be able to get it out of a PDF format into word so it will transfer to here. Just comnes out as an empty square. Basically here is a clip from what it says.

(The Thomas H. Lee Company of Boston bought Snapple in 1992 and took it public in 1993.)

"Wanting to propel brand to national distribution, Snapple rolled out an advertising campaign centered on a "customer relations, regular people" theme. An employee, Wendy Kaufman,
became the "face" of Snapple on TV.....Snapple also enlisted the support of off beat personalities including top ranked shock-jock Howard Stern and talk show host Rush Limbaugh, to create a quirky, individualist image that wooed a cult-like following..
