Steak, OT re WCOM

Thanks for your comments. I got in at a time where it seemed to be a screaming deal(an asp of $1.24), so have done pretty well in ten days. Yet, I ponder what to do in the short term.

Your analogy to turning a huge ship is a great one. The stock seems destined to gain and fill in small increments for months. Yet, assuming the two matters I mentioned get resolved, in my DD WCOM is worth a heck of a lot more than its present market cap.

One program under way might really get the stock price moving, the MCI Neighborhood. As you probably know, long distance carriers can now offer local telephone service in the US, and there is a lot of regulatory pressure on incumbent telcos (ILECs)to offer access at fair pricing. T and WCOM stand to benefit, and the MCI Neighborhood plan is looking like a big hit so far in markets where it is being offered.

It will be fun to watch S&P squirm as WCOM rises from the ashes.
