Went there did that, thanks for the link, and what I see is the case was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice. Alpinestars tried to have the patent ruled invalid, that in fact did not happen.
Leatt though appeared to "lack standing" when the complaint was filed and served on Alpinestars. Lots of complicated legal noise and rulings but at end of the day there was no closure to the arguement as to if the Leat 919 patent was valid or not. Can see that both co's were spending lots of coin on this and I am not surprised that Leat bagged it and is trying to fight it out in the marketplace. Seems like a good move for both companies.
