Re: ambulance, thanks for the report.

"...This presentation from 2007 goes into a lot of detail on the security protection on the cards."

True. They gave me a copy of that report in the package they sent. I used those pictures and security descriptions to guide me in the destruction of one of the cards. It was pretty helpful.

"...How does the Tic Tac Toe card work? Do you just press “play” and it runs? Or do you get to choose where to put the first X or something like that?

You just press "play", and the X's and O's appear one after another on the screen. Even though it's simple, I liked it better than the other cards, because with Tic Tac Toe, your eyes are moving not just left and right, but also up and down and diagonally. After playing the linear LCD cards for a while, switching to Tic Tac Toe felt more visually comfortable and compelling. Almost like going from one- dimension to two-dimension.

"...The Treasure Hunt card, for example, gives the illusion that you can affect the outcome by giving you a choice of which window to use."

I know what you mean. Too bad they didn't send me one of those. It would have been nice to compare. BTW, the CodeBreaker card was the least entertaining to play. It just generated a long random number, and then the user goes online to see if it matches the advertiser's wining number. And so it was fitting that the card I chose to break was called "CodeBreaker" :)

I went to a Walmart today, and I saw the Chaotic game card set. It cost around $20.00. I may have to investigate this.
