pmuldowney, if you wired the money through a bank, you can expect it to post with in 5 hours, ameritrade representatives will tell you it takes up to 24 hours, but normally it is showing up your ameritrade account with in five hours after wired. If you use the Ameritrade Electronic wiring method which means you yourself transfer the funds from your banking account to your ameritrade account , it post immediatley and you can instantly begin trading.
