Dam, i have heard the 5000 scenario too... 7700 was based on rebounding lows the other day and not breaking through that.

I guess we will see, 5000 is a depression level, but there is a lot of money on the sidelines now, dont let them fool you, however most of it is the feds printing it and the hedgefunds who shorted the way down...

its just people don't trust eachother because of all the recent miscalculations...(which i call, scams and fraud that happened leaving everyone burned)....AIG LEHMAN, FRE, FHM, etc...

if 5000 is a low, i would then start buying up around 7500 a select few companys until it hits 5000.

if MSFT gets to 17 again...with all the billions of dollars it has and no debt, that is a screaming value play even if they readjust earnings...they can always buyback stock and become a bank if they wanted lolll being they have more money the Citibank and WB combined
