With potentially hundreds of millons of dollars at stake, you have to wonder what kind of digging Nokia has been doing on our arbitration panel. I would wager that they know everything about our arbitrators - their history, their prior decisions, their political leanings, their philosophies and tendencies. If you're really paranoid, you might think that they know more - their net worth, where they summer, where their kids go to college, who they owe money to, what their vices are, etc.

With the amount of money on the line, let's hope that our panel is above temptation and manipulation. I'm sure Nokia would be more than willing to deposit ten million dollars in an account in the Caymans for two of our arbitrators if it would guarantee them the outcome they seek.

I would like to believe that our panel is above enticement, but the money at stake and Nokia's obstensible lack of intigrity makes me nervous. I don't like leaving our fate up to three people we know nothing about.

I'm sure I'm just paranoid, but I sure would welcome a settlement.
