Euromax drills 235 m of 1.08 g/t Au at Karavansalija

2008-10-14 07:01 ET - News Release

Mr. John Menzies reports

EUROMAX INTERSECTS 235 METRES AT 1.1 G/T GOLD AND 120 METRES AT 0.86 % COPPER EQUIVALENT

Euromax Resources Ltd. has released results from recent drilling on the Karavansalija property in Serbia including 235 metres grading 1.08 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 120 metres grading 0.55 g/t gold, 0.48 per cent copper and 3.2 g/t silver (1.4 g/t gold equivalent, 0.86 per cent copper equivalent).

Copper and gold equivalent calculations use metal prices of 1.25 (U.S.) per pound
copper, $550 (U.S.) per ounce gold and $10 (U.S.) per ounce silver.

Adjustment factors for differences in relative metallurgical recoveries have not
been be considered and metallurgical recoveries and net smelter returns are
assumed to be 100 per cent.

Diamond drill holes EOKSC-0829, 0830 and 0831 were drilled to test 700 metres of strike of the Karavansalija copper-gold skarn. All drill holes encountered garnet-pyroxene skarn and ended in latite dike. Although no drill holes have fully penetrated the skarn section it is believed that it is at least 500 metres thick. These drill holes were drilled along the southern side of a prominent donut-shaped base metal soil geochemical anomaly three kilometres across.

One thousand metres along strike to the south-southwest of the westernmost drill hole EOKSC 0831, which intersected 235 metres grading 1.08 g/t gold, a strong IP geophysical anomaly, remain untested and likely represents the continuation of this mineralization.

Quality control and quality assurance

Diamond drill hole samples are cut and crushed at a sample preparation facility in Serbia overseen by Euromax personnel. Routine assays are undertaken at Eurotest AD laboratory in Sofia, Bulgaria, an ISO9001-accredited facility. Quality-control samples, standards and blanks are routinely submitted. Gold is assayed by a 50-gram fire assay with an AAS finish while copper is assayed by acid digest-ICPMS.

Qualified person

John Menzies, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, supervised the preparation of the information in this release.
