You'll find this very interesting. Every once in awhile I like to try something new and different. We all do I believe. So I popped over to Panera Bread for lunch today. Great food. Good atmosphere. When I get in there, I'm looking up at the board, then I look down into a cooler. It's full of Jones Soda JSDA pure cane sodas. Several different flavors.

I get to the checkout and the manager is there. I guess she was short handed. Anyway, I asked her about the Jones and how it was selling. She said it was funny I should ask. They have a bunch of it and she said they might have sold two dozen in the 6 months she had been manager of the store. Strange she would just say that but perhaps she was wondering if she could get approval to put it on sale.

So, it got me to thinking. Why not check some things out further. So I tooted to the other side of the complex and into Target. I asked three different checkout girls how the Jones was selling. Two of them didn't even know what I was talking about. One said she remembered selling a couple in the past week or so.

This is a stock that went from $2 to $33 in about a month remember?

So time for gas. I popped into the busiest convenient store in my area. The manager was behind the counter. I told her I was heavily invested In HANS and was wondering how sales were going. She said with this recession and the gas prices, nothing is selling great. She said it takes up loads of space in her coolers and the novelty appears to have worn off. I told her to approximate. She said she might have sold a half dozen in a week. It's the guys that buy it to mix with their liquor of choice. Now, this is a stock that went from 50 cents to $400.

I think the huge difference here was I only had to go 500 yards to find Jones in 2 locations. And of course about every minute market in the country has Monster. Hey, its great if you're selling. It sucks if you're not because you become commoditized in a big hurry.

So, we know your sales soar when your product first comes out. Then when sales taper, the price comes way down.

The numbers are the numbers and we'll be just fine.
