With due respect to the authorities, I have had a different exposure to those infected with HIV.

Having met and worked with many in my community (It is averaged that 1 out of 10 are walking around with HIV) Most of their stories refer to a one night stand (on the average of 10 years before knowing they were infected)...not drug related. And Moby’s reference to Africa stands in point of those who have told me their story...right down to the relentless timetables and tormenting side affects. Most of these people are sincerely decent with loving caring families and only wish they could go on with a normal functioning life.

With that said, please, do ‘not’ cast a person with HIV or HVC as a defined drug addict. YES, it is true that infected needles are a cause, but ‘not’ the source for ‘most’ of the infected....who live on death row.

Once you look into their eyes, get to know who they are as people... it’s easy to be compassionate and share their desire to live life. Thus, my hope and excitement of the promises offered by this remarkable science.
