xbox NEEDS that storage for several reasons, but the biggest one I can think of is to be competitive with PlayStation 3 storage, which has 40 GB drive versus xbox's 20 gb drive.

IMO, neither is sufficient, 60 gb is an improvement and 500 gb would be far better.
