Help! Can anyone tell me exactly what this is? We catch a few of these in salt water in with the prawns at anywhere from 200-280 feet of water.

I figure they are some sort of saltwater crayfish but have been unable to come up with a picture anywhere of anything like it.

Sorry I should have put something in the shot for size reference, but the tail is about 1.25" long, the whole body about 3", and those front legs with the claws usually about 6-7 inches.

They sure are cool looking, they do have eyes, they swim backwards using that tail as a "paddle" and they can go really quick.

I usually let them go, but kept one to try it, tasted just like a crayfish or lobster tail.
