No way. I thought it was great, valuable, and relevant to the board. I have seen it before, but I was happy to see it again. Whether the particulars are “real” or not isn’t the issue. It is an excellent way to show new people the reality of the trading environment of Pinks. The posts (or the intent of the posts) to this board may or may not be as elaborate as the story, but there is a clear lesson to be learned. In the past, I’ve summarized this in two lines: If something is true, it remains true no matter how many people say otherwise. Likewise, if something is false, it remains false no matter how many people say otherwise. It is dangerous to have a forum such as this to which people come for investment information and advise, because some people come in assuming all the information is given with the good intention of helping those that come to the board. The reality is there is a mix of information. It is important for people to know this. The story you posted will hopefully educate people to at least not take everything that is said on here or any board of its type as truth without thinking it through.
