The $2000 MacBook Pro is over kill for my future needs.

The iMac line is competitively a bargain compared to the other makes in it's class.

But laptops have displaced the desktops for more users. As a result, prices has declined and the feature set has increased. Vista isn't that horrible, but works for most.

Since, aapl is receiving recurring iPhone revenue from AT&T, I don't see why it could not offer more laptop choices that are priced to strangle the competition that Garmin did on the GPS side.
