So how do you people pronounce 'Daschle' down there? - i always just assumed it would be pronounced as in german, which it is - DASH-leh ... sort of like Ashley but with the latter syllable stressed even less .... well the other day on CBC radio i hear it as if it were french, sort of DASH'l ... or DASH-el .... which is wrong, way wrong, and it's bothered me ever since so could you please clear this up toot sweet [and no fair confusing with all that political stuff, we've got our own problems with that sort] [yes, even here]
