Intel is demoing a "CT" because it can. Intel also had a working "CT" in 2003 before AMD could get its gnat to work.

Consider that Intel can and has demoed the manufacture of SOI parts. But the technology is not effective so Intel does not use SOI in production.

Leave it to AMD to rely on clumsy, high-cost, low-yield technology for their manufacturing.
