ok now on to the radio cost thing......if we go with that 70 #.....well 45000/70=643.....add another 600 for the parts(and assembly) and u get 1243......pretty close to that 1200.....see u have to understand.....uli's money was never ever really gonna come from GTEM.....it was gonna get billed to the JV......the cost of the radio does NOT include install....or service......its JUST THE RADIO....the JV pays for the radio, install, and support.....NOT GTEM....if GTEM provides install and support...then they get paid for that too.......iow the cost of the radio is 1200 to the JV.....no one really makes any money on that except the guys selling the parts......and uli for assembly and support......then there is the mark up over the cost of parts and assembly.....that is GTEM profit...and another cost to the JV....which would seem to be around 700.....anyway its just a thought.....cuz i really don't get that whole 1200 thing otherwise.

on another note.....i went and looked up the initial contract for the test....it was NOT 10 sq km.....its up to 10 sq km.....anyway we now know that it takes about 9 radios per sq....or 90 radios for the test......lets just call it 100.....which btw VPN paid a 50% deposit of 225k......or meaning they were selling the radios with install support...the works for 2250/radio.....and thats only half....once accepted GTEM was to get the other 225k.....tho i'm not sure that ever happened....the JV was much dif than planned.....and btw those 100 radios can support 4000 customers.....now i doubt they had that many......but i highly doubt the JV moves forward without something in the high 100's.....tho this does assume GTEM actually did its job.....my guess bassed on what i've read and what joe says....i willing to bet they did half......iow 50 radios in about 5 sq km with probably 500 costumers.
