Well.... I'm done for the night... gotta grab some dinner and a drink. This was a great experience! I have always been very intimidated by computers... now I'm only very slightly intimidated... :)

Before this the only thing I had ever done was add an ethernet card and some ram to a computer.

The BIOS thing is still a mystery.... that was something I could not have delt with alone.

Thanks Bruce for your willingness to help out a complete stranger. You are a true gentleman.

For those out there watching this and thinking of building your own system, I say go for it. I had minimal computer smarts... if you have average manual dexterity... even less than average... you could do this. Seems to me the main qualification would be being able to button a shirt. Just go slow, and take precautions to avoid static charges to the parts.
