wbmw, yes, an ASP of $100 would be a big improvement! We didn't quite get that high in the salad days of Athlon - I recall it topping at about $95. The big change since then is that we now have a great server product, a solid mobile offering with an even better one around the corner, and the top desktop offerings. The days of Duron are over!

It seems that AMD is ceding the low end to Intel. I think they were once expecting Transmeta to take care of that, but we haven't heard much from them lately.

With this new emphasis on the highest margin parts of the business, that $100 ASP is a pretty reasonable goal.
